Fatty food must become hard enemy for women because it will disturb their body weight and disturb their appearance. Is it true that we have to fight fat to get slim? As stated by Andriyanto SH MKes, fat is not enemy that we have to avoid to get slim. In fact, our body still needs fat supply to keep our body metabolism.
However, you are not allowed to consume all kinds of fat with certain amount. You are better consuming good fat with sufficient amount. Fat that must become our enemy is bad fat, especially if you wan to be healthy and slim. So, your body will get fat when you consume too much fat. So far many women consume bad fat every day.
The Advantage of Fat
As other substance, fat is also useful for our health. These are some advantage of fat for our body:
- Saturate Vitamin A, D, E, K
Body needs some kinds of vitamin and each vitamin has different function that can not be replaced by other vitamin. However, body needs to saturate it to get the advantage and vitamin A, D, E, K are kinds of vitamin which need to saturate in fat. So, fat also has important role which is not able to replace by other substance.
- Protect Body Organ
Fat can protect out body and other organs from weather and temperature. Besides, fat also give secondary energy for our body. In this condition, body will use fat as energy for our body.
- Keep fertility
Fat helps to keep body hormone production, including sex hormone. Woman having low fat amount tends to have low estrogen amount, so that she will get short menstruation time.
- Repair Cell Structure and Keep Beauty
Fat is part of cell structure keeping your skin, hair, and nail healthy. If you have low fat amount, you will look older, but healthy fat will keep your appearance feminine.
- Energy and Body Immunity
Fat will keep our body in normal condition and prevent from any disease and chronic fatigue. Besides, lower fat amount can reduce your energy.
- Give Delicious Taste
Fat which naturally contains in food will give more delicious taste as beef. It has nice taste although no spices in it.
Fat Necessity
We have different fat necessity every day which depends on age, activity, body weight and so on. People normally need 10 % fat from total calorie while we need 2000 – 2200 per day.
In order to keep healthy, you are not allowed to consume more than suggested amount of fat because it can disturb your body metabolism. Unsaturated fat will be accumulated in certain parts of body as in stomach and thigh or in other important organ as liver, hearth, and blood vessel which is able to damage blood circulation.
Therefore, it is suggested consuming good fat taken from these following sources.
- Nuts
Nut has good fat amount which is necessary for our body. Good fat can be found in chestnut, corn, sun flower seed, and so on. It is able to supply more good fat in your body.
- Avocado
Fruit with green color contains good fat for our body, so that it is good to consume as long as you do not add milk and chocolate. Besides, avocado also contains vitamin E which is good for skin.
- Seafood
Seafood, especially fish contains good fat which is important for our body. Fresh fish or other product of fish is good to supply more fat in your body.
It is true that fat is able to increase our body weight when you can control fat supply as you need. In order to get friendly with fat, you need to consider these following tips:
- Count the amount of fat and calorie you consumed. More calorie will be saved as fat in our body and too much fat will increase your body.
- Balance between food and activity because high activity needs more energy
- Avoid bad fat in food selection
- Consume more fish, nut, and avocado
- do not use fried oil and avoid fried food
- Consume more fruit and vegetable.
How to Cook
Source of food containing good fat must be useful for our health. It is better to consume raw fat food to keep your fat healthy. Besides, you need to consider the way you cook food because wrong cooking process will be dangerous for our body.
- Steam & Grilled
Steaming process will keep good fat amount. Apply some spices and use traditional spices than chemical substance.
- Frying with Once Fresh Oil
Fried food will be more delicious, but it is better to just have once frying process with fresh oil. Good food will be replaced with bad fat, so that healthy food will be dangerous for your health.
